The Annual 
East Bay Kidz Math Camp is a fun, 3-week investigation into mathematics, ESPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR STUDENT WHO ARE STRUGGLING!  This small group summer camp program for rising 4th-7th graders focuses on key math building blocks and developing math confidence. Each day of camp is filled with engaging game-based and hands-on activities.
 
TIMES: 
 The 3-week camp session runs Monday through Friday from 9am-12pm daily.  Daily snack will be served!  

AGES:  Accepting applications from students who will be entering into 4th grade through entering into 7th grade in the Fall of 2018.

Official acceptance and final placement of each student candidate will be determined by the following:

  1. Instructor approval of the completed application packet [including recent report card & teacher recommendation form] 
  2. Submitting full payment

*Submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment in the program. Your camp application packet will be reviewed by our staff to determine eligibility prior to admission into the program, and all applicants will be notified within 5-7 business days of receipt of the completed application packet.

Important Note:  Student grouping may not be grade level specific and all grouping decisions will be made at the discretion of the instructors.

CAMP STAFF:

Michael Curry
. . . Educational Therapist/Consultant/Trainer: Michael is in his 25th year in education. He has 10 years experience as both an elementary and secondary classroom teacher. For the past 15 years he has run his educational therapy private practice specializing in math remediation and acceleration for students from kindergarten through college. Michael is also a math specialist and consults with institutes, universities, schools, clinics, and parents to help them design and implement effective math programs.

David Freedman . . . has 30 years experience as an educator. He has been a classroom teacher, learning specialist and staff developer in the Berkeley Unified School District. David has been supporting children with learning differences in his private practice since 2003 using a multi-sensory, incremental approach.



TLC Services . . . is a local, independently-owned, Oakland-based company that provides administration and business services to artists and educators.
